Animal transportation
Thai Airways will transport your animals either in the cabin or in the cargo compartment of the aircraft depending on their weight and size. Please note that the valid import and export by-laws of the respective countries have to be observed.Passenger is responsible for all required documents for entry, health and/or transfer at countries of destination and transit.
Passenger also must provide transported animal with sufficient food and water as feeding during transit/transfer may be not possible.
Request for animal transportation has to be made not later than 72 hours before departure.
Animal transportation in cabin
Conditions of acceptance
Thai Airways may accept only pet i.e. dogs and cats to be carried into the passenger cabin provided that:- Such pets are accompanied by passenger.
- Pet must be odorless, healthy and not pregnant.
- Its weight including container must not exceed 10 KG.
- Container must be leakage proof with maximum dimensions of 55x37x30 CM.
- Container must be spacious enough for pet, has a possibility for fresh air to come.
- Each passenger may bring only one container, and each container can include only one pet.
- Animal must come from an area where animal diseases are under control and free from signs of infectious, contagious diseases including ectoparasites.
- The country has been free from rabies at least 12 months or the animals are vaccinated not less than 21 days prior to the departure.
- Health Certificate must be in English only, signed or further endorsed by a full time authorized government veterinary clinic of the exporting country and must stated number, species, breed, sex, age, color or animal identification.
- To comply with the notice of the Department of Livestock Development in Thailand, following animals are not permitted to be transported into Thailand: Pitbull Terrier or American Staffordshire Terrier.
Limitation of pets per flight
Only two pets regardless of type (including escort dog) may be carried in the passenger cabin per flight. On small aircraft i.e. B737 and ATR only one pet is permitted per flight.Seating

Conditions of acceptance
Thai Airways will accept animals for carriage in the aircraft hold on the same flight as the passenger if such animal does not qualify for carriage in the passenger cabin e.g. too large or of unusual nature.The following types of animals are prohibited from being carried as checked baggage on Thai Airways flights:
- Rodents (except rabbits) e.g. laboratory rats and mice and others.
- Reptiles e.g. snakes, iguana species etc.
- Odorous animals e.g. skunks, minks, soft-shelled turtles.
- Pregnant animals.
- Sick or injured animals.
- Birds and poultry.
- To comply with the notice of the Department of Livestock Development in Thailand, following animals are not permitted to be transported into Thailand: Pitbull Terrier or American Staffordshire Terrier.
