20.12.2008 THAI Reduces over 40% on Fuel Surcharge

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited will decrease over 40% on its fuel surcharge on domestic and international routes. Mr. Pandit Chanapai, THAI’s Executive Vice President, Commercial Department announces that, effective from 19 December 2008 onwards, THAI will implement a new fuel surcharge rate, resulting from the declining world oil prices. The new fuel surcharge rate on most international routes will be at average 40% lowered than the previous announcement in November 2008, while the new fuel surcharge on THAI’s domestic routes will be THB 400 instead of the current THB 700 per flight, excluding Chiang Mai — Mae Hong Son v.v., THAI will charge THB 200 per sector. Details of THAI?s new fuel surcharge are as follows:
